You do not have a ghost of a chance surviving the Haunted Graham Mansion’s scare season. This southwestern Virginian grand dame of history and haunts has shared the love with 55,000 guests since 2009 and continues its homage to horror every Friday and Saturday night through October 31st.
A counter culture anomaly to typical Halloween haunted attractions, the Haunted Graham Mansion gets to the heart of the matter as it is the only haunted mansion that really is haunted. Featured on SyFy Channel’s 2012 GHOST HUNTERS episode “Moonshine and Madness”, the Major Graham Mansion has been officially deemed “haunted” through a decade of paranormal investigations. What’s not to love?
Upon arrival your heart will skip a beat as you banish all thoughts of monochromatic, run-of-the-mill fear fare. As you begin your death march through this grand, gothic Mansion, Slaves’ Quarters, and ghastly Graveyard you will be stunned to discover that its inhabitants are neither dead nor alive and seek only to share their kiss of death and have you join their fever pitch blood feast. As you continue your jaunt along the Trail of Terror you will encounter a grisly ghost town, a macabre abandoned mine shaft, a mysterious moonshine cabin, and a long-forgotten nuclear warhead silo. Located in an overgrown corn field, this deadly nuke will thrust you suddenly into a bombed out Psycho Ward filled with crazed and burned patients, nurses, and doctors who are dead-set on you checking in….permanently. If you survive the mayhem of the Mansion, Trail, and Psycho Ward, you will soon find yourself stalked by the ravenous, heartless junkyard zombies with your only escape route leading directly to the militant-riddled jungle that is the Bloody Barn. With your fear factor on high alert, you will surely feel the love at the Carnivorous Carnival grand finale. All you need is love, love. All you need is love.
The entire nihilistic Haunted Graham Mansion sojourn takes about an hour without wait time. And if you are indeed a connoisseur of death, a scream-a-donna, or simply adore gore galore, you may double down and go through the scare route again on the same night for half price. Tickets for the first six nights are $15 per person and the last six nights are $20 per person with a $5 parking fee per vehicle. No children 8 or younger are admitted and children 9 to 13 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Food vendors are on site. Do stop by the General Store after your tortured trek to have your free “coffin confessions” Facebook photo taken, vote for your favorite scare, take a look at our wildly popular LEGENDSOF GRAHAM MANSION historical fiction book series, or pick up a collector’s Haunted Graham Mansion T-shirt.
